If you are running an online store or membership based website you may want to check with your bank to see if you qualify for a merchant accont of your own. If you are able to use your own merchant account you can save on transaction fees, control your client information, and more.

The first step is to decide if you really need your own or if you should use a Payment Processor such as EpochSystems or PayPal.

Most all major banks in the United States issue Visa / Mastercard Merchant processing accounts. We would suggest using either of the following:

Bank of America
